Great computer animation on those pictures, but at those flows are not lahars. They are pyroclastic flows.

I can only guess it was done this way to provide source footage for media covering it.

But I imagine most viewers stopped watching after the first 10 unimpressive zoomed out speed up versions. As far as being a good sift, I like the other version.
