Kite surfer thrown through air during tropical storm Fay

Stumble ThisLiveLeak: FORT LAUDERDALE,Florida,August 18/08'Emergency officials have been warning South Floridians to seek shelter during Tropical Storm Fay but a man in Fort Lauderdale seeking some thrills on the rough surf didn't heed that warning and ended up in the hospital after being hurt in an astonishing kite boarding accident that was caught on camera.
A news crew was on Fort Lauderdale beach at A1A and eas More..t Las Olas Boulevard when a huge gust of wind from Fay blew down the beach and took the kite boarder by surprise. The kite boarder was harnessed into his sail when the wind violently picked him up and slammed him onto the sandy beach. Then, he was dragged across the sand before being lifted up into the air again and blown across the street where the wind slammed him into a building.
Witnesses ran to help the unidentified kite surfer who lay crumpled on the ground in pain.

Dumb - Kite surfing in winds that tear roofs off
Dumber - Not letting go the first time it throws you 20 feet in to the air
Dumberer - Not letting go the second time it throws you 200 feet across the street.

Apparently you can't just let go...you are strapped into a harness have to activate an emergency release. He's in critical condition. Ouch.

Also, it's very easy to let go when you don't go kite boarding during a potential hurricane. But I guess that takes brains. Yummy, delicious brains.
On another note yesterday I noticed CNN or someone being extremely over zealous on youtube with this one. ALL videos pertaining to it were taken down, it didn't matter where the source was from. One of the videos was just some guy talking about it, so um way to go youtube.
